MDRS with funding froom WDR constructed three rainwater harvest systems at Abotreye, a settler farming community of more than 2000 people. Poly tanks with storage capacity of 50,000 liters were connected with pipes and rain gutters were constructed at strategic places (the school, chapel and chief's palace) in the community. This has improved access to improved water supply.
Community Water Projects
MDRS was able to increase access to potable water for seven (7) communities in the Savanna and Oti Regions of Ghana with funding from UMCOR.
The Community water supply system was provided through the construction of boreholes with hand pumps in five communities and boreholes with submersible pumps in two communities. These projects have provided access to improved water supply to about 7,000 people (Women, Children and men).
