MDRS engaged the leadership of Rural Enterprise Programme (REP) to support women and youth
involved in small-scall business in rural communities.
MDRS also engaged The Methodist Church Ghana Conference Recognized Organizations through the
Lay Movement and Ministers Spouses Association (MISPA) to take advantage of the partnership.
MISPA in the Wenchi Municipal received equipment for baking and confectionery under the REP
Community based training in Agro-Industrial businesses. Other organizations were earmarked to
receive Agro-processing equipment in cassava, shea butter and oil palm. These small scale businesses have
about 10 direct beneficiaries, but the indirect beneficiaries will be in the hundreds.
